We're excited to announce that our little church plant in Tokyo now has a name: Grace Harbor Project. You may wonder why this name was chosen, so here's why...• Grace: We use this because the God who owes us nothing gave us everything in Christ Jesus.
• Harbor: “Harbor” signifies a place where ships take shelter from the storm, as well as where they make preparations for their next journey. To become an area where people can be healed from the painful wounds of their personal storms, to rest, to recover, and to be sent out again on their next voyage in life.
• Project: Why not church? Because initially our team will focus on making friends, telling them about the grace found in the good news about Jesus, and teaching how the Bible applies to all of life (discipleship). We will start to meet together and worship as a church when we have gathered enough Christians to be begin a service.
The purpose of “Grace Harbor Project” is therefore to see the Tsukishima / Toyosu / Shinonome area become an area overflowing with the grace and blessings of Jesus Christ.
