Vision and goals for the new church plant we plan to join

We appreciate prayers specifically for these things. (This is written by my Japanese pastor-partner, Rev. Seima Aoyagi. His English is amazing - yet his second language behind Japanese.)

Vision of Grace Harbor Church

➔ Grace Harbor Church, together with Grace City Church, creates Grace Church Planting Network throughout Tokyo with a vision to saturate Tokyo with a gospel-centered, grace base, and missional church planting movement.  

➔ Grace Harbor Church is, together with Grace City Church, a part of City to City Redeemer network, and has a passion to Tokyo, and the global city through out the world. 

➔ Grace Harbor Church finds its post to be in the area called waterfront with predominantly young families living in. The concept is to Bless Tokyo through blessing the families. 

Grace Harbor Church seeks to do multi-site church planting as means to enhance church planting in Tokyo.

Short-Term Goals

• Build strong culture of prayer and team
• 5 Missional Communities by end of 2013  ➔ We have one now with 5 Christians and 5 non-Christians.  Good balance, and already three of the non-Christians expressed some signs that they are seekers now.  
• Leaders attend SOMA School
• 100 attending worship service by end of 2013 ➔ Start worship service at Jan (or Apr) of 2014, expecting to have 50 attendance at the beginning.  

• 200 non-Christian contacts

Long-term Goals

• Church planting movement among Japanese  ➔ Yes, we would like to have many Japanese church planters, but a church planter should not be only limited to Japanese. If an American minister is called to do church planting in Japan, our network will help it.  

• A church on all five islands in Tokyo Bay ➔ The area is called waterfront. Starting with one site, and go into multiple sites throughout the area (hopefully 3-4 worship locations). First site on 2014, the second site on 2016, adding one site every two years.

• Raising up Japanese men to be sent out as　church planters ➔ Besides worship sites, we also want to send church planters as a separate congregation.  First separate congregation will be on 2016, and hope also to be send every two years.
